AirStrip CARDIOLOGY uniquely delivers three things:

By combining (1) wireless mobile transmission of ECGs with (2) digital visual enhancement and touch screen capabilities as well as (3) automatic access to historical data, AirStrip CARDIOLOGY enables more informed and timely decisions by cardiologists. This creates a cascade of benefits.

  • Mobile delivery expedites access to patient data and eliminates geographic and logistical barriers to care.
  • Digital transformation allows better visualization - expanded, clear, sharp, and accurate waveforms - detect differences of less than .05 millivolts; 1/10th of a millimeter with pinch/zoom.
  • Serial presentation allows simultaneous access to and comparison of historical tests.

In combination, these factors may bring about strategic, clinical and financial benefits:

Strategic Benefits

  • Increase physician alignment and loyalty
  • Provide necessary infrastructure for ACOs
  • Better clinical decision support
  • Cost-effective healthcare information exchange
  • Expedite meaningful use
  • Improve workflow and quality of care

Clinical Benefits

  •  More timely and accurate clinical decision-making, which may lead to reduced morbidity, mortality and sequelae (i.e.: faster door to balloon time, reduce infarct size, limit ejection fraction reduction, shorten LOS)

Financial Benefits

  • Reduce overall costs (such as false positive activations of the cath lab)
  • Improve reimbursement under value-based purchasing
  • Achieve competitive advantage in the marketplace

In the Emergency Department

Enabling powerful improvements in patient care, AirStrip CARDIOLOGY in the emergency department allows for unprecedented collaboration between EMS, ED, and cardiology teams - especially when transporting potential AMI and STEMI patients.

AirStrip CARDIOLOGY receives 12- and 15-lead waveforms and vitals wirelessly from EMS transport, which the clinician can then access from anywhere and review on their mobile device via a native AirStrip application. The ECGs are displayed with the highest possible resolution – no more faxes, emails or PDFs. The clinician can then communicate immediately with EMS to provide the clinical assistance needed to properly care for the patient while en route. The ED and/or cath lab can also prepare for the arrival of the patient and facilitate the most appropriate and timely intervention.

In the Acute Hospital Setting

AirStrip CARDIOLOGY in the hospital provides the ability to scroll through a full 10-second ECG for all 12 leads and set any of the leads as the rhythm strip – physicians choose the beats used for analysis. In addition, the dynamic ECG layout functionality from AirStrip Technologies grants full control over how leads are rendered, providing the option to see all 12 or 15 leads for the ECG or in various comparative layouts and zoom levels.

Application features

  • Simultaneously scroll through a full 10 seconds for all leads while retaining the traditional 12-lead layout
  • See a full presentation of results for GE Marquette® 12SL ™ analysis algorithms for 12 leads
  • Review and compare past ECGs
  • See clear and accurate waveforms and detect differences of less than .05 millivolts (.5 millimeter)

AirStrip CARDIOLOGY delivers automatic serial presentation results and flexible control over the mobile review of available, historical ECGs for each patient.

To unleash the full power of the AirStrip platform, AirStrip CARDIOLOGY is fully interoperable with the AirStrip LABORATORY and MEDICATION modules, which provide access to:
