AirStrip Observer SuiteTM is composed of a free standing system within the hospital that interfaces with existing data collectors from a variety of manufacturers. An example of this interface is best described with the AirStrip OBTM product.
AirStrip OBTM resides within the Labor and Delivery unit and interfaces with the Labor and Delivery centralized monitoring system. Physicians then use PDA’s or Smart Phones that are pre-loaded with AirStrip ObserverTM software to remotely and securely access real time waveform (fetal strip), numeric and other charting data from the central monitoring system via a wireless internet connection. The internet connection is typically established using the cellular modem that is built into the Phone Edition PDA. The ability to view this critical data at will, and not rely on nursing interpretations over the phone, allows physicians to be proactive, troubleshoot problems before they arise and provide better overall, more comprehensive and more efficient medical care for their patients.
